About the Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and capable Manager to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Manager Community Engagement and Projects as a 5 yr contract.

The Manager Community Engagement and Projects will be responsible for managing the Shire's engagement and communication with our community.  This role will strengthen our positive brand and social connection via effective management and delivery of services and education in the areas of Marketing and Communications, Community Safety, Youth, Place Activation, Community Group and Club Development, Arts, Culture and Heritage, Access and Inclusion, Economic Development and Advocacy.  This role also manages the development of feasibilities, business cases, concept development, investigation, planning and external grant sourcing for key projects with the Shire's Council Plan.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will have experience, skills and a knowledge of community engagement, marketing and communications, project management and community and economic development.  You will also be an excellent, engaging leader who can get the best from your team.  Skills in community consultation, research and experience in business case development, funding processes and acquittal are required and previous Local Government experience is preferred.

About the Shire:
