About the Position:
The Shire of Broome is seeking a dedicated and skilled Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team. As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's communication strategies and promoting our initiatives to the community and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications plans to support the objectives of the Shire of Broome.
Creating engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and other promotional materials.
Managing the Shire's digital presence, including website content updates and social media platforms.
Coordinating public relations activities and representing the Shire in a professional manner at events or media engagements.
Collaborating with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging across all communications.
Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvements based on analytics and feedback.
Assisting with community engagement initiatives and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
As the successful candidate, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a creative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A relevant qualification in marketing, communications or a related field, along with demonstrable experience in a similar role, is essential.
