Job Description

About the Position:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Finance Officer-Creditors.

The Finance Officer- Creditors will be responsible for maintaining creditor records, verifying invoices and ensuring payments are made in accordance with Shire's financial policies.

With excellent time management and customer service skills this role provides support across the Finance team including relief for fortnightly payroll processing during of periods of absence.

You will also coordinate the Audit and Risk Improvement Committee meetings which includes Agenda preparation and accurately minute taking.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.

A supportive team player providing exceptional customer service to all customers both internal and external.  

Excellent knowledge of general accounting concepts and terminology with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Enjoys identifying continuous improvements and efficient processes.
