About the Position:
ThePeople and Culture Administration Officerwill be responsible for providing a professional administration service to meet the needs of our internal and external customers, ensuring that accurate records are created and maintained for all people and culture related functions, including, recruitment, contract management, learning and development activities, WHS and performance management.
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday - Friday and is based at the Shire of Broome Administration Office.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have
• Strong administrative experience with advanced Microsoft Office skills
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and produce accurate work
• Experience handling sensitive and highly confidential information
• Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence communicating across all levels
• Well‑developed written communication skills and competence with records management and software systems
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Desirable:
• Experience in Local Government and with Synergy Software
• Experience working in a People & Culture environment with exposure to HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, compliance or employee relations
