Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced candidate to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Marketing and Communications Officer. This position will report to the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
In this role you will assist the Marketing and Communications Coordinator with delivery of the Shire’s communications including strategic and operational plans. Working closely with internal departments, you will communicate activities, events and decisions through the communication action plans.
This is a 12-month, full-time position with an immediate start preferably from the 1 July 2026. Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with the option of accruals of a monthly Rostered Day Off.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have experience working in marketing and communications with well-developed written communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to accurately proof-read. Qualifications and/or experience in public relations, journalism, graphic design, marketing or communications would be advantageous and previous experience in local government will be highly regarded.
