About the Position:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Coordinator to join the Shire of Broome
TheBuilding Services Coordinatorwill be responsible for supporting effective service delivery, ensuring statutory compliance, mentoring staff, and building strong working relationships across the organinsation and with the community.
Current WA Registration as a Building Surveying Practitioner - Technician.
Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying or relevant qualifications.
A minimum of three years' experience in building surveying.
Demonstrate knowledge of the WA Building Act and Regulations, National Construction Code, Australian Standards and Western Australian Residential Design Codes.
Sound understanding of Western Australian legislative processes relating to building approvals.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage priories and work within requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide responsive customer service.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
Current WA registration as a Level 1 Building Surveying Practitioner.
Previous experience working in local government.
